This year fu-GEN has been invited by the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) to participate in the Theatre Creators’ Reserve program. This allows fu-GEN and other invited companies to act as third-party recommender of grants to theatre creators.

fu-GEN is dedicated to the development of new work by Asian-Canadian (Pan-Pacific) writers and creators and is pleased to be accepting applications of individuals or collectives for consideration of recommendation. The grants provided by the OAC Theatre Creators’ Reserve is designed to provide artists with funding to jumpstart or finish their work.

Applicants may ask for a minimum of $1000 up to a maximum of $5000.

All recommendations must be approved by the OAC.

If you have a script or a project you would like to submit to fu-GEN for recommendation please download and the applicant package from the OAC website. Or directly from fu-GEN Along with your package please include a short description of your project and and budget needs and, if possible, an excerpt of the proposed project or other recent work.

Please submit three hard copies to our offices, we cannot except applications by email or fax.

All applications are due to fu-Gen by 5pm Feburary 22nd, 2007.
